Designs from former San Francisco designer, Max Nugus, are glamorous, often over the top, and intended for that special, sophisticated woman. This lovely vintage suit from Max Nugus Haute Couture features beaded and sequined embellishments on the autumn red lapels, an offset bow at the waist, and an embellished pencil skirt (see photos for details). Another great feature is a decorated panel that snaps inside the jacket for use in lieu of a camisole or blouse. The fabric label is not present, but there are alternating textures of what appears to be a silk blend. Both pieces are lined in rust-colored silk. There is also no size label, but we are estimating it to be a size Small or 4. With no labels or era-specific features, it's hard to pin down when this suit was made, but I'll go out on a limb and say it was the 1990s.
