How cool are these earrings? They are made of sterling silver, and remind me so much of the iconic, highly-coveted jewelry Alexander Calder made throughout his prolific career. These earrings were originally the property of a Parisian collector, and could have been made by a sculptor of Paris's Avant-Garde art scene during the era in which Calder was highly influenced by the surrealist movement. On these earrings, the spherical balls jut out from an elongated cone-like structure, with handmade three-dimensional elements adding a sense of whimsy and humor, the way only a true sculptor can. They are finished at the top with a fish hook for pierced ears, and the total drop is about 2. 75" long.

Great vintage condition. The silver has a lovely patina but can be polished to your liking.
