After his premature death in 1936, his sister and her husband continued running the business.

From 1919 the business designed and produced haute couture, ready-to-wear and perfume. Their perfume became very famous. In 1987, the haute couture activity was stopped. The same year, the Jean Patou house launched an accessories line, by 1996 the company had closed.

Patou was acquired by by several high profile companies until in September 2018, the LVMH group announced a strategic partnership with Designer Parfums Ltd, assimilating majority shares in the Jean Patou portfolio. As soon as the partnership was announced, LVMH relaunched the brand's couture activity, renamed "Patou". The brand still shows their heritage and their beautiful designs are designed with a nod to the past, timeless and elegant.

Size: French 40 but the material has stretch and the waist is elasticated so it will stretch. Waist is 26" but will stretch a lot, bust is 40" and hip 42". Total length approximately 40.5 "
