Vintage 60s skirted Gabar of New York Romper or Playsuit. One Piece Swimsuit.

Wonderful lightweight woven nylon in an abstract print in shades of blue on white with green accents.

Fitted bodice with boned front princess seaming and a built in bra.

The bodice back features elastic smocked side panels and does up with a long metal zipper.

Pleated skirt bottom with matching attached nylon panty.

The bodice is lined with soft blue cotton (except for the elasticized back panels).

The skirt and inner panty are not lined.

Adjustable two button blue grosgrain ribbon shoulder straps and matching attached ribbon belt as pictured.

DESIGNER LABEL: GaBar New York. There is also a blue on white ILGWU union label.

CONDITION: Very good with a few issues - there is no odors, fading, discoloration, yellowing, rips, tears, or stains. There is no crumbling or loss of firmness to the built in bra. The elasticized smocked side panels are in excellent condition with no dryness or loss of stretch.

Issues are: 1) the elastic around the panty leg openings has lost it's stretch, and 2) There is a small 3/4" half circle of missing fabric inside the back zipper placket (pictured above) which is not visible when being worn.

Very gently worn and well cared for. Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

SIZING: Tagged a vintage size 16. However, as size designations have changed over the years, and based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Medium.

MEASUREMENTS -

Bust: 36" to 38" comfortably - due to elasticized back panels - Measured along the inside curvature of the bra

Waist: 27" to 30" due to elasticized side panels

Hips: 41" ( interior panty)

Bodice Length: 11-1/2" - Top of Top Cup to Waist Seam

Skirt Length: 16-1/2" - Waist Seam to Skirt Bottom

Inner Panty Side Seam: 15" - Side Seam - Waist to Leg Opening

Panty Front Rise: 15" - Waist Seam to Crotch Seam

Panty Back Rise: 16-3/4" - Waist Seam to Crotch Seam

Panty Inseam: 3-1/2"
